The physical and mental strength and vigour, making man capable of coping with the difficulties and the demands of athletic contests, in combination with noble competition (“fair play”) and his admirable achievements on the running track are presented in this unit.
In 2021 the Museum of Cycladic Art hosted a major, emblematic, archaeological exhibition entitled “ΚΑLLOS. The Ultimate Beauty” in which the multiple aspects of the concept of Kallos in the everyday life and the philosophical discourse of ancient Greece were presented. The exhibition’s units are accompanied by the respective videos. The exhibition was curated by the General Director of the Acropolis Museum Professor Nikolaos Chr. Stampolidis and the Curator of Antiquities of the Museum of Cycladic Art, Dr Ioannis D. Fappas, is mounted in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sport, with the generous support of L’Oréal.
