Roussillon is definetely one of the most unique places we have visited in France. This provençal village has been molded by the ochre mine nearby (the world’s biggest), quite literally. And you can still visit the old ochre quarrels: le Sentier des Ocres offers walking paths for you to explore an otherwordly landscape of red, orange and yellow. The ancient town is also very charming and offers a great panorama view of the Luberon region.
