While driving home with family from an out of town day, an "Oldies" station broadcast this song by R. Dean Taylor. It was the first time I had heard it in decades, and it triggered a specific memory of riding with my mom, dad, sister and brother in our Chevy Caprice - in Aurora, Indiana (of all places) -when this song came on the radio.
My dad heard the siren at the beginning and kept looking for a police car, until my sister told him that the siren was part of the song. It was such a specific memory, and it made me smile. I've always had a fondness for this song, and decided to sing my version after our return home.
Our son made this video (as he has every video posted) using my soundtrack and all original video and images he created. For this project, I asked him to "tell a story" with the song. The special visual and sound effects, titles, editing, transitions, etc., are his own work.
We hope you enjoy.
