Georgia Dennis discusses how one small mistake caused her whole life to be reshaped, opening up a whole new culture for her to experience. Hello, my name is Georgia and I am 14 years old. I am from Sydney, Australia, and am in year 9 at ISM. I want to be a speaker for TEDxYouth@ISMonaco because aside from horse riding, debating and public speaking are my passions. I have attended many different conventions and MUN (Model United Nations) conferences to debate with people from other schools in places all around the world. The reason I love debating is that it enables me to see things from a different perspective and it can change my thoughts on many different political and social topics. I think the topic “Mistakes that change(d) the world” is an exciting topic to have. I think having this as the topic up for discussion is going to be intriguing because not everyone will perceive things the same, but will have the opportunity to hear from other people’s perspectives. I am therefore looking forward to taking part in such an exciting event! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
