I love the idea of blending synths with real instruments for a unique vibe. For this track I was just playing around with presets on my new Arturia Microfreak digital synth until something cool popped in my head. I then recorded a little beat on the po12 pocket operator from teenage engineering, played along on the microfreak and then overdubbed some bass and guitar. I got the idea of adding just the tiniest bit of low fi vocals by recording a little line on an old tape recorder then later recording that into my interface. Everything was then mixed and processed in Logic Pro X and the video created in Adobe Premire. Still trying to figure out a work flow, but hopefully I'll be putting a lot more of this kinda thing out. Let me know what you think!
