NITI Aayog released the SDG 2023-24 report on Friday, saying that Uttarakhand has achieved the top rank in the country for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Rising from 9th place in 2019, Uttarakhand made significant progress of states and union territories on social, economic, and environmental factors to secure the top spot jointly with Kerala. While the average national score is 71, Uttarakhand and Kerala scored 79. Bihar was ranked as the worst performer.

Congratulating the people of the state, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “This performance has been achieved with the blessings and cooperation of the people of the state.
