Many (many) moons ago, I set out to learn Kashmir (my FAVORITE Led Zeppelin song!!!!). Unbeknownst to me, it was recorded in DADGAD. So yeah, I came up with a version of it in standard (EADGBE) tuning. I will sometimes play the lead passages more in line with Robert Plant's vocals, but since I'm a guitarist, I typically opt for more of a guitar-based voicing.
This was recorded with my Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster into my Marshall DSL40Cr. For a large part of it, it's just my amp with my T.C. Electronic Spark Booster (direct into the front) and my Wampler Ethereal Delay/Reverb pedal in the effects loop. For lead passages, I used my Xotic SL Drive pedal. That's pretty much it. Drums were programmed with EZ Drummer, and everything was run into my Studio One via a Shure SM-57 and a Sennheiser E-609.
Oh, and I bought a new guitar. That will be introduced soon. In the meantime, thanks for watching!!
