The video is from film of the Hawaii Kapaho eruption which began in January 1960 and continued for a whole month, eventually engulfing the nearby town of Kapaho, though no lives were lost as the town was evacuated early on. The fountain of molten lava from the main vent reached up over 400 metres at its highest. The lava flows added 2 sq.km of new land mass to the island and encompassed 10 sq.km in all.
The audio is Pink Floyd - Careful with that Axe Eugene, a bootleg recording from 1972 with good audio quality.
