I do this exercise everyday and it has tremendously changed my playing. I start at 200 BPM and then slowly increase the tempo 5 BPM until I reach my limit (Which is around 290BPM as for now).
This technique can serve you well in multiple styles of music.
Do this exercise everyday and you will be flying sooner than you thought!
