Well, that was not an easy task, these guys are either really brave or really stupid. Clearing the ground floor without casualties - seemed easy enough.
What I didn't expect was the surviving Gondians running outside and engaging with the Steel Watch patrolling there. Had to reload to save their butts as I realised what was happening way too late when two of them got killed. On top of that the Watcher was bugged for a whole turn. Ground floor has 4 people that need saving.
Now, the Lab floor, this is where the "fun" begins. It took me multiple tries to get this right. You need to save 5 people here.
My advice would be - get Flashblinder grenades from the Ironhand gnomes (trader inside Wulbren's hideout in Rivington sells them). Get Chain Lightning spells/scrolls because it is extremely good against these enemies & it doesn't target allies.
If someone can cast Hold Person on multiple enemies, bring them along (it will buy you a bit of time, but keep in mind Black Gauntlets are rather resistant). Someone with Counterspell is also useful against being Dominated.
Dimension Door & Globe of Invulnerability - bring these scrolls in case you need to save someone from the Steel Watch blast radius.
I also brought along a few summons, pre-casted Mage Armour & Haste.
Sometimes luck just isn't on your side, so save beforehand.
Party for clearing the ground floor is at level 12 as follows: Karlach - Barbarian Berserker, Astarion - Rogue Assassin, Shadowheart - Cleric, Tav - 10 College of Lore Bard / 2 Wild Magic Sorcerer. For the lab floor I replaced Karlach with Gale who is an Evocation Wizard.
