Reacting to on alleged Valmiki Corporation scam, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on June 9 said that the investigation is underway into the matter. Following this, he said that the Minister had resigned to ensure a free and fair investigation.
"It was a long-standing demand. We have been told that it is due to the lack of the required number of staff that the approval has not been given...The investigation is going on. Our minister has resigned to ensure a free and fair investigation," said DK Shivakumar
