Today I'm looking at the Black Friday 2023 Gift with Purchase from the LEGO group, Majisto's Magical Workshop which is a remake of a set from the 90s. It's like the Forest Hideout set again people.
One of those sets that on paper is great! It has some nice figures inclusions, the build is accurate and faithful to the recreation and it made the Black Friday purchase feel special.
At the same time, I needed to spend $400 to get this set so exactly how "Free" is it? This would sell like hotcakes if this was made available to the masses and the annoying thing is sometimes LEGO do just that. The most recent Christmas Star Wars display set has "May the 4th" written all over it but it's mine for exactly $50nzd.
We all thought LEGO would change their tune after the Forest Hideout but then came the spaceship and now comes Majisto. Still, if you wanted Majisto, cheaper to do this than get the Lion Knights Castle?
