One of the very first footages of the AR content provided by CREAL's light-field headset codenamed Sue. It is possibly one of the very first true light-field ARs that exists today.
The camera taking the footage works as an eye. It is placed inside the AR headset and captures the video through the combiner (the glass in front of the eye). Notice the change of focus between close and far objects, both real and virtual. The focus/blur is not calculated, it is real, owed to the physics of the light-fields.
You won't see this behavior with today's AR headsets, for instance, MS Hololens [ Ссылка ] is not able to display digital images in focus next to your own hands - in your personal space. Light-field unlocks this no man's land of today's AR.
