As political crackdown intensifies and economy worsens in Hong Kong, more and more Hongkongers move abroad in search of a brighter future. Fiona and Ah Man, a married couple with two kids, try their luck in Crewe, a rust belt town in the UK. While the air in the UK tastes like freedom, Hongkongers have to adjust their expectations economically. Elites with master’s degree now take on menial jobs in factories to make ends meet. Making good use of her connections to other Hongkonger immigrants, Fiona builds a new career as a labor recruiter, yet still struggles to acquire long-term residency. Follow the family of four on their journey of finding a new home and hopes for the next generation.
