Sir Keir Starmer has held his first cabinet meeting as prime minister - and his first news conference.

He began by hitting out at the "mess" he said his ministers had been left with by the former Conservative government, highlighting a prison service that was "broken".

He also confirmed the controversial Rwanda migration scheme was dead and buried.
