서울의 글로벌 창업 생태계 280개 도시 중 16위… 싱가포르, 베를린 제쳐
Startup Genome, a research and policy advisory firm, released the Global Startup Ecosystem Report for 2021,.. which extensively reviews 2-hundred-80 cities in 100 countries, and judges their ability to incubate startups.
The South Korean capital ranked 16th as one of best ecosystems for a startup... climbing four ranks from last year, overtaking Singapore and Berlin.
The city also came in at fourth-best for knowledge... a category that judges research performance and patents.
Seoul's ecosystem is valued at 47-point-2 billion U.S. dollars, way higher than the global average of 10-point-5 billion.
The city government's recent innovative policies and aggressive investment to help Seoul grow as a startup hub are seen as key contributing factors.
