Dr. Rachel Brown holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as a Master's degree in Medical Laws and Ethics form the same university. Dr. Rachel Brown is also a certified functional and metabolic health practitioner. She currently works as an NHS (National Health Service) Consultant Psychiatrist in Scotland. She is a member of the British Society of Ecological Medicine, and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Nayiri Mississian, the host of Low Carb and Fasting, is a nutrition researcher, coach and blogger. Nayiri has had type1 diabetes since 1978, intermittent fasting since 2000, eating low carb since 2015, strength training since 2018, extended fasting since 2021 and ketovore/carnivore since 2022 (after 30 years of vegetarianism). Nayiri is also the founding director of a translation company, which she runs alongside her research work and coaching.
