Anita Spada (actually Anneliese Kambeck) °1913 in Essen is a German singer. Spada appeared in variety shows and operettas. From 1935 she appeared in the Berlin Theater Scala. She guested a. o. also in the Friedrichsbau in Stuttgart. In 1941 she recorded, accompanied by the Heinz Munsonius orchestra, a cover version of Lili Marleen. In October 1939 she was temporarily arrested by order of Joseph Goebbels together with the Scala press chief Will Meyer, the conductor Otto Stenzel and the emcee Heinz Heimsoth. Spada married Hans Hinkel in 1942, who was responsible for "cultural personalities" in the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda as a special commissioner and in the final years of the Nazi regime Regime acted as her protector.
