What a crazy thing life is. For the 3rd time in my life, the same 1958 Beetle i have owned since 93 has fallen BACK into my life when client who owned it wanted to build a performance chassis for it. I talked him out of a chassis and for me to purchase it back. And it worked. But there’s a catch. It’s STRIPPED!

Ya, didn’t really think that through when he said it. He was going to do a color change and in my opinion, I think he bit off more than he can chew for his skill set. Either way, this was the perfect opportunity to reduex the Beetle and give it a new life.

So the body was stripped of the small amount of items still on it, the chassis was stripped and dipped in an ammonia bath and we then delivered the car to Henry Marchena Restorations in Fullerton California to work his magic.
