"Big Cheese is our attempt to soundtrack the human version of a peacock’s strut - bold, colorful, confident. We initially imagined the tune being the tongue-in-cheek soundtrack to a cliched “city slicker”; a pin-striped suit, slick-back hair, overconfident deal maker. But as the tune evolved we realised that actually this strut is not the domain of the “Big Cheeses” in the financial world but actually this groove just becomes about an attitude, a strut, a confidence to express oneself fully and unashamedly.

At the tune's core are three elements, a cowbell, a driving beat, and a synth bassline. All the other elements, the guitars, the real bass, the slide guitar, the keys, the percussion (not forgetting the dub siren) etc are there to add colour and flourishes to the driving, relentless groove. Big Cheese is as bold and straightforward a tune as Franc Moody has probably ever made and we can’t wait to play this one live!”
