My HP Deskjet 890C running in full action, from replacing the Cartridges to running it in action to seeing the Service Station running in action from closeup!
This is a very old Printer that came out sometime after Windows 98 was introduced!
This Printer has Tray Arms, which hold the Paper in place while it's printing, then releases the Paper onto the Tray afterwards.
The Cartridges it takes are 23 Tri-Color & 45 Black.
No XL Version of the 23 nor 45 Cartridges are available.
Here I show the full overview of the HP Deskjet 890C Inkjet Printer.
This Printer originally replaces my HP Deskjet 820CSE Printer due to it's compatibility, as while my 820CSE loses it's compatibility after Windows 7, this Printer here is compatible with Windows 10.
This Printer has 2 Ports positioned on the back left of the Printer, facing from the front.
Facing from the back of the Printer, the 2 Ports are positioned on the right.
The 2 Ports used for this Printer are the Parallel Port, then positioned right above it is a smaller DC Port of some sort or so.
While I'm currently taking some looks at my HP Deskjet 820CSE Printer of trying to make it work with Windows 10 before I try to sell it to someone, who might still be using a Windows 7 PC/Laptop or earlier, furthermore for this Printer here, now I have the same exact Printer as the User @cvgscote back from Tuesday, 1/8/2008 at [ Ссылка ].
While his has the Lid off to be able to run it in action 'cause of the interesting Lid Switch that's positioned right next to the right Lid Hinge, mine here, I leave the Lid on & I use something else to be able to run it with the Lid open, as there is a way to run these types of Printers with the Lid open, such as the HP Deskjets 820CSE, 820CXI, 850C, 855C, 870CSE, 870CXI, & 890C.
If you guys wish to know how to run these types of Printers with the Lid open, please feel free to let me know in the Comments below & I'll make a Video about it on my 890C here.
Also, the Cartridges that I insert into this Printer are refurbished by an Amazon Seller.
Even though they're originally way past the Expiration Date, the Cartridges work like normal from the refurbishing, as if they've been renewed or so, as they were both filled with fresh new Ink from the Amazon Seller, except for Magenta however on the 23 Tri-Color Cartridge, as either the Seller forgot to add the fresh new Magenta Ink into the Cartridge or it has dried out.
But, other than that, everything else works & I'm also glad that when HP made these Printers back in my Childhood days, they were able to copy the shape from the 820CSE/820CXI Model, make minor differences to it, & have it be compatible with Windows 10, thus naming it the HP Deskjet 890C Printer, & which being the last Printer of this shape to even have it be compatible with Windows 10, while the 4 others of 850C, 855C, 870CSE, & 870CXI that're also compatible with Windows 10 have a similar shape, but the same exact internals & Service Station & whatnot.
But anyway, once I do sell my HP Deskjet 820CSE Printer to someone, who might still be using a Windows 7 PC/Laptop or earlier, what I'm gonna think of doing to officially take it's place is to see about getting either an 850C, 855C, 870CSE, or 870CXI HP Deskjet Printer, so that I can be able to have both shapes of it between the 2 & which'll then make things more interesting, especially when then doing some Videos of the 890C here & whichever I get of either the 850C, 855C, 870CSE, or 870CXI running together & whatnot.
Welp, with all that said, enjoy the HP Deskjet 890C Printer here running in action!
