NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Charger 107) Recorded at Gold Star Recording Studios in February 1965, this soulfully percussive track produced by Fred Darian and arranged by Gene Page would become Dobie Gray's follow-up disc to his hit, 'The In Crowd' and also be included on the 'Dobie Gray Sings For In Crowders' LP. Engineered by Stan Ross with the flawless musical talents of L.A.'s 'Wrecking Crew' with backing vocals by the Extremes, the multi-track master tape reel and two other Dobie Gray tape reels were discovered in New York in October 2019. They were from the estate of 1960's L.A. record executive and owner of Thunderbird Records, Steve Brodie. On this recording of 'See You At The Go-Go', it is the addition of horns on the 4th track, takes 2&3. Sounding crystal clear with the mesmerizing reverberation of the Gold Star echo chamber, the 54 year old Scotch recording tape sounds as impressive as if it were recorded yesterday. A big thank you to engineer, Len Horowitz, at History of Recorded Sound in Culver City, California for performing the analog to digital transfer.
