On February 5, 1996, a terrible thing happened at an apartment in the Bronx. The police made a heartbreaking discovery - the body of a 36-year-old pregnant woman named Jasmine Porter. She had sadly lost her life. This devastated the whole community for over 25 years.

When the medical examiner looked at Jasmine, they found she died from a really violent act. Specifically, a bad injury to her neck caused her death. Even worse, her little 4-year-old son was left alone in the apartment for two whole days with his mom passed away, not knowing what happened. He was there until the police showed up.
