We're approaching the end of the nesting season now. It won't be long until our osprey family migrates to Africa. Here we catch an increasingly rare glimpse of all three chicks (Doddie, Vera and Captain) arriving within seconds of each other. They enjoy the evening sunshine on the nest.
Ospreys migrate individually. We expect mum, Aila, to leave in a few days. Dad, Louis, will wait until the chicks have all left before setting off himself. Louis and Aila won't meet up again until next year at the nest. The chicks don't intentionally meet up again with each other or Mum and Dad. So, our livestream covers the entirety of their time together as a family.
