Hi guys, today's video is a clash with 5 arch tops with their respective floating pickups. The standard is Dinah, it was composed in 1925 by Harry Akst. This test is far from scientific since I'm not using the same pickup on each guitar, nor the same strings etc, but it might give you a general tone idea. Please share your opinion on which sounds best to you, or in which context you'd use one over another one etc.

-1936 Gibson L5, X braced, Kent Armstrong 2D pickup, d'addario chrome nickel flat wound strings gauge 12

-1936 Epiphone Deluxe, parallele braced, DeArmond Rythm chief 1000, d'addario phosphore bronze strings gauge 12

-1942 D'angelico Excel, parallele braced, DeArmond Rythm chief 1000, Ernie Ball Nickel round wound strings gauge 12 (changing G to wound instead of plain)

-1948 Gibson L12p, parallele braced, DeArmond Rythm chief 1000 (same as on Deluxe 36), D'addario nickel strings round wound gauge 12

-1964 Epiphone Deluxe cutaway, parallele braced, DeArmond Rythm chief 1100, nickel strings round wound gauge 12

All the guitars are plugged in a Fender Princeton Reverb amp from 1969, with flat EQ, and the sound is captured with a Neumann TLM 103.
