Custom built convertible top for a 1930 Ford model A roadster convertible top mechanism is made out of Norton hydraulic door closers The bows are constructed out of oak milled to fit The bows are at a 90° angle header is constructed out of oak Mill to fitI found that the Norton door closer arms were ideal for the mechanism due to the fact that they had so many pivot points and swivel and that the arms slid back and forth so I hope this will help somebody engineer their own
