Medical Induction of labor is when your labor is started by your care provider. This can be done through a few different means. You can be induced with a drug called cytotec, a drug called cervadil, with a foley balloon catether, with Pitocin or with a combination of these methods. Induced labor require continuous monitoring during labor and can often be much longer than labors that are not induced.
