Canada Reads is CBC's annual book battle. Each year, five prominent Canadians select a book to defend over four days of debate. One book is voted off the competition on each day, until a winner is declared.
Past Canada Reads winners include The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill, Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O'Neill and In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje.
