Mourners have gathered to say goodbye to iconic Italian actress and artist Gina Lollobrigida at her funeral in Rome today.
The siren of the silver screen, who on Monday died at the age of 95, was once known as the Mona Lisa of the 20th century thanks to her beauty.
Emotional attendees included her assistant-turned manager Andrea Piazzolla, who burst into tears and was comforted by other famous faces, including Italian actress and presenter Mara Venier.
Sophia Loren, 88, has also paid tribute to her bitter rival with a beautiful bouquet of flowers sent to the church.
Her former toyboy husband who was 34 years her junior was also present, looking sombre, after promising to be 'front row' at her funeral despite their marriage being annulled by the Vatican.
