A massive plume of ash steam rose into the air, Saturday, October 23, as Italy's Mount Etna erupted, obscuring the morning sky.
The Mount Etna volcano has erupted more than 50 times this year.
Europe's tallest and most active volcano often erupts but rarely causes damage, and the eruptions do not put the local population at risk.
The last major eruption occurred in 1992.
