How to eat Dried figs – 2 Ways
Ingredients
• Dried figs
• Honey (optional)
• Nuts or Seeds
• Water
Method 1 – no bake:
• Place figs in a bowl.
• Fill bowl with water, enough to completely cover the dried figs.
• Place in fridge 12 – 24 hours
• Enjoy
Method 2 – oven baked.
• Cut figs in half towards the stem, but not all the way.
• Open the fig up so that it’s flat, butterfly style, figs seeds up
• Place walnuts or almonds or any nuts or seeds of choice, inside the fig, resting on/in the seeds.
• Close the fig back to its original state, creating a nut or seed “sandwich.”
• Bake at 350 degrees F. for up to 10 minutes.
• Remove from oven and drizzle honey on figs while they are hot (this is optional)
• Enjoy
