Our president, Mr. Ravi Kathuria called the ExxonMobil, Denbury acquisition back on May 17, 2023, at our Third Semi-Annual Carbon-Hydrogen Symposium! ExxonMobil announced on July 13, 2023, it is acquiring Denbury for $4.9 Billion.
Back in April, The Wall Street Journal was of the opinion and reported that XOM would make an acquisition in the oil and gas segment of Pioneer Resources. Mr. Kathuria pointed out that Denbury in the carbon segment would be a more interesting option. WSJ was looking in the wrong direction. We were ahead of the curve! Were we just lucky?
