In this video, I'll show you how to make an easy repair to furniture legs. Folks have used many techniques, but I like to use a metal bracket that's available from your local home improvement store. This bracket has threads which allow you to screw the furniture leg back on and relatively tight. Just attach the bracket to the bottom of the furniture with the 5 screws that come with it. Then screw the leg back on. You may have to change out the stud that is currently in the wooden leg. The stud needs to match the threads in the metal plate.
You may need to make some modifications or adjustments, because sometimes the metal bracket may cause the leg to protrude more than the other legs, and you might get wobbly furniture. You could router out some of the wood on the furniture so the bracket will recess into the furniture. Since these bracket are so cheap, it might be better (less work) just to go ahead and add them to the remaining legs. That way all legs will stick out the same length and therefore no wobbly furniture.
