Cancer has a significant impact on society in the United States and across the world. In collaboration with the Cancer Awareness Network, Patient Orator is amplifying the voices advocating for better access, treatment, care, the overall quality of healthcare, and support for patients and family caregivers of those living with cancer. Speaker Shelly Fuld Nasso is CEO of the National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship. Nasso leads the public policy activities of NCCS at a time of rapid and fundamental health care system change. Before joining NCCS, Shelley served in leadership roles at Susan G. Komen, where she leveraged Komen’s grassroots network in Washington, D.C., and state capitals. In this discussion, Shelly speaks on existing gaps in care and advocacy for those living with cancer. Tune in to learn more about how to advocate for yourself and what is being done at a national and local level for cancer survivorship care.
