Mona Scott-Young was one of many who spread the word, posting a photo of herself with the up-and-coming artist alongside Swizz Beatz, Ezekiel Lewis, Darrin Dean, and Treiva Williams. As Scar Lip moves to the next phase of her career, they are all now a part of her team. All parties can be seen toasting to success with several other Epic employees in a video that has gone viral on the internet. Scar Lip has gained popularity in recent years with a string of freestyles and poetry clips that range from intensely moving to absurd. She achieved great success in 2022 with the drill-like song Glizzy Gobbler, which quickly gained popularity due to its catchy name and accompanying music video. This Is New York, a new anthem for Scar Lip's hometown that has already inspired notable remixes with Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg, was released in April to her rapidly expanding fan base. Scar Lip cited Boosie Badazz as a key factor in her current success in a recent interview with Vlad TV (above). At that point, motion began to appear. she began. His push, his co-sign got me a lot of press. And I feel like I made it, bro. That sh-t helped my career a lot. She also gave the same credit to Shaq, who she collaborated with on Bodies Freestyle in April. Shaq slid in my DM. He was like, Yo, keep spitting that hard sh-t.’ It was like 4 o’clock in the morning. Something told me [to] check my phone. I look, I see Shaquille O’Neal text me. Is this a dream? Is this real? I started jumping up going crazy What people don’t know is, Shaq sent my music to over 50 DJs. That’s it for today, thanks for watching. tell us what you think in the comment section and most importantly subscribe. see you!!
