At certain parks in South Texas, parrots come in to roost, flocking in enormous numbers. These spectacles are live entertainment for birders and others parkgoers in the area, and are a noisy, chaotic experience. One of these types of parrots is the Red-crowned Parrot, which was the most abundant parrot we saw while in South Texas.
