War Pigs has been on my list to cover for a while. Bill Ward was a jazz drummer that found his place in a Heavy metal band. He had such a great approach to so many Sabbath songs but this one is my favorite.
What I did on this one was remove the original drum track and did my own interpretation of the song. This was a blast to do. Enjoy.
And thanks to my wife for her help with filming.
This was recorded (In the basement of my mothers house. jk) with Sennheiser mics, a 421 on the floor tom and RODE M3 on the Hi Hat. Mixed live through a 16 ch Mackie Mixer with a stereo output to a sound devices. Mastered and compressed with original track in Protools and edited in IMovie.
