Jeepers and offroaders, CB radio is dead, long live GMRS!!! If you have a Baofeng radio, or any of several other brands that use the CHIRP software to program the radio, check out this video (you can skip to 3:43).
Some friends and I went to Tennessee last weekend and I programmed everyone's radio, in our case the Baofeng UV-5R with FRS and GMRS channels, but also the Tennessee HAM band repeaters. While that's cool if you live in TN, we all live in Norther Virginia. So we need a way to re-program the radios for the HAM repeaters in our area, and I'm guessing you might need to know how to program your UV-5R too.
Just remember, please don't transmit on the HAM bands unless you have a HAM license.
