Another ebay video! When buyers place an order or make a purchase on ebay, they are given an estimated expected delivery date timeframe. Why is it that buyers are allowed to open cases claiming item not received well before the estimated delivery date? In my particular case, I had a buyer open a case claiming item not received just 1 day after the purchase date!
I chatted with an ebay agent and will show you what they said about it.
In my opinion, buyers should not be allowed to open item not received cases at least until after the estimated delivery date has passed. You have to give sellers enough ample time to ship out orders and then allow time for deliveries to be made!
It defies logic that someone can open a case against you 24 hours after placing the order and say they didn't get their item. VISA the credit card doesn't allow buyers to file chargebacks 1 day after a purchase unless you are claiming an authorized purchase or stolen card. If you are trying to request a refund or chargeback because a merchant hasn't delivered your order, you have to give them at least 14 to 30 days minimum before being allowed to file a chargeback. Ebay should also do the same thing. It would save a lot of trouble and headaches of having to communicate with the buyer and ebay support to get this sorted out.
