CONTROVERSY in the microscope community! A video was posted online showing MITES crawling across a human finger/toe nail - This video received over 32M views on TikTok - as always, some people inevitably believe that this is true.

It even made it onto several news stations - in this way, the footage and misinformation continued to spread and disservice the science community.

In addition to my footage and findings, it's just super super super super super unlikely that spider/predator mites would inhabit the underside of finger/toe nails...

If you post a fake microscope video, I'm coming for you.
