Here is perfect recipe of Kavo Drink. This drink is famous in Porbandar City - Gujarat and it is available whole year at Chowpati area of Porbandar and in the city at various places. Now a days, Kavo is very popular and can be found in many cities of Saurashtra.
This drink is usually consumed in a small size shot glass in small quantity. This drink has very high Aryuvedic Values and benefits due to it's ingredients. It is mostly consumed during winter, as it is very beneficial in cold.
Here is recipe. (For 5/6 person)
Ingredients:
20/25 Coffee Beans (બૂંદદાણા) - Roast till dark brown at low flame.
Crush roasted coffee beans in mixer and take a TS of it and keep aside for later use.
1 TS coffee powder
7/8 Mint leaves – ફૂદીનો
7/8 basil leaves – તુલસી નાં પાન
1 TS Pink Salt Powder – સંચળ
1 TS black pepper powder – મરી પાવડર
1 Lemon – લીંબુ
2 Glass water
Method:
Cut mint & basil leaves into small pieces. Add 2 glass water in electric kettle. Add roasted coffee beans powder, coffee powder, black pepper powder, grated ginger, cut leaves of basil & mint and shut the lead of kettle. Boil it for 7/8 minutes.
Now filter boiled Kavo liquid in metal sieve and add lemon juice, pink salt powder and serve.
