At the viking shield and sword seminar at Hedeby in April 2019, Roland Warzecha demonstrated his sword scabbard suspension for his beautiful viking sword. The suspension is based on finds from the Ilse of Man. A Viking grave found at Cronk Moar. Two "bridges" on the scabbard, tied to a belt which is divided by a three lobed strap divider.
It was recorded at Hedeby at the end of the weekend, when the sun finally came out. But the wind was still blowing, so the audio is not perfect. I have provided closed captions in English.
