Have you always wanted to know what birds are visiting your yard or frequenting your birdfeeder? Can’t tell the difference between a Purple Finch and a House Finch? Dr. Steve Hale will offer tips on identifying our resident and migrant feathered friends, and let us know what to feed them to attract a diverse population. Audience members will also have the opportunity to test their own knowledge of birds. Dr. Steve Hale is the owner and operator of Open World Explorers, which runs guided birding tours in New Hampshire. Steve is also a professor and researcher at the University of New Hampshire where he earned his PhD in Natural Resources. He previously worked as a bird observer in the White Mountain National Forest.
