Levels of Ecological Organisation-:
It is in relation to the hierarchical order of ecology
These levels of the organization are called Holism in ecology, examples-species
The group of similar species is called as population
Different populations living in the same area are called community
Group of community form Ecosystem and ecosystem present in different parts of the world with a similar type of climate, vegetation, etc are called as Biomes, and all biomes put together are called as Biosphere
The term Ecology was termed by Ernest Haeckel
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ECOLOGICAL STUDIES.
Ecologist seeks to understand the life processes and it's adaptations.
The distribution and abundance of the species- Range of tolerance i.e. each and every species have its specific range to tolerate the climatic conditions.
Ecological studies help in bringing solutions for environmental problems. Example= Problems like Single-use plastics, Oil spills to be tackle through Bioremediation, Asperzilius (have the property to break the plastic compounds), Oilzappers, and Oilivorous-S. Isoprene can be used to protect the Ozone.
The ecological studies explain the movements of materials and nutrients from abiotic to biotic.
For ecological conservation, ecological studies are very important.
