From the DVD cover: The city of Vancouver has a large network of railway lines that encompasses freight and passenger operations from various rail operators. Despite this, and the large number of rail movements in the city, railfanning here is generally considered difficult owing to buildings, trees, the proximity of freeways and security fences blocking access.
The contemporary railfan therefore has to resort to the outer reaches of the city to fulfil their needs; by heading south to Delta and east towards Hope.
This production explores these districts, commencing at Roberts Bank at Delta, followed by a brief spell at Port Moody, before visiting the Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY) Yard at New Westminster where we witness a BNSF turn interchanging with the SRY.
We then head east to the Port Haney Station at Maple Ridge for some high speed action, and conclude at Mission City.
Discreet subtitles provide location information and noteworthy points of interest.
