A unique program at the Boulder County Jail is helping Colorado inmates improve their literacy skills using graphic novels.
Ervin Funderburk will spend 338 days in the Boulder County Jail.
“[I’m] 36 days from being able to go home,” he said.
But for the repeat DUI offender, while his body is locked up, his mind is wandering.
“I'm into the superhero stuff, Batman, Superman that kind of stuff,” he said.
