In this video I test if Sodium and water will still explode in water while under vacuum. Since sodium makes hydrogen gas when it reacts with water and also because of Coulomb repulsion you usually get a large fiery explosion when you put sodium in water. But when it is under a vacuum will the same explosion still happen? We will test how much of the sodium in water explosion comes from the Coulomb explosion and how much comes from the explosion of hydrogen gas burning.
