In the beginning, stages of sickle-cell retinopathy are elaborated including peripheral arteriolar occlusion and ischaemia, peripheral arteriovenous anastomoses, vitreous haemorrhage, vitreoretinal traction bands and tractional retinal detachment. Subsequently, Leber’s miliary aneurysms is also elucidated. In addition to this, ocular ischaemic syndrome is discussed in detail whose symptoms include transient black outs, delayed dark adaptation, and loss of vision.
