In this video, we are going to talk about what happens to our plastic waste. I was inspired to dive into this because of how much plastic is in the ocean. This made me ask a lot of questions: where does our waste go? Specifically, where does our plastic go? What is the great pacific garbage patch? Why is the ocean filled with plastic? How does plastic end up in the ocean?

But, in this video, we also talk about what happens to the plastic we throw away and where our recycled plastic ends up. We will be busting recycling myths and how to recycle properly in order to maximize how much actually gets recycled. We also talk a little bit about how sustainable is plastic and how does the US recycle plastic? Every country is a bit different, but I am focusing on where the US sends its waste.

Other things we talk about is how much actually gets recycled, where does our waste end up, how does the US dispose of plastic, what happens to our waste, where does our recycling go, how much plastic is recycled and more!
