V8 Purity
The Continental GTC S subtly alters the GTC’s character with a touch of extra drama. Although the 550PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 remains – which allows for acceleration from 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds – a new Sports Exhaust is fitted as standard to allow more of the pure cross plane V8 sound escape from the exhausts. And with the GTC’s roof folded, there’s almost nothing but fresh air between you and the noise.
Bentley Dynamic Ride also comes as standard, an advanced 48V electric active anti-roll control system that compensates for body roll in corners to improve agility. Ride comfort is also improved at cruising speeds, with the left and right-hand wheels decoupled from each other – a bump on the left, doesn’t translate to a bump across the whole of the car.
Sharpened Style
The Continental GTC S takes on a more dramatic aesthetic with its gloss black details, dark tinted headlights and taillights, topped off by distinctive S badging on the front wings. The GTC S is also offered with an all-new 22-inch wheel option, with five Y-shaped spokes finished in gloss black and also available in a new Pale Brodgar Satin finish. Red-painted brake calipers sit behind the wheels to provide a perfect sporting contrast.
The interior is performance-focused, with a two-tone colour split that’s unique to the S models. A Dinamica fabric – akin to the Alcantara material often used in motorsport – proves ideal for the steering wheel, gear lever, seat cushion and seat backrest of the Continental GTC S, with the remainder of the interior trimmed in sumptuous leather. Finishing touches include a metal S signature badge on the fascia and illuminated Bentley treadplates with the ‘S’ device replacing the Bentley Motors Ltd plaque.
